Everyday I’m…

Hustle: to be aggressive, esp. in business or other financial dealings

Being in New York is not very difficult. Going through my daily routine is not hard. However, being a model in New York is a challenge.  Of course there are times of great reward, recognition, and payout.  But in between it’s all about the hustle. It includes constant work, research, and preparation.  Staying in shape, keeping your face in others’ minds (positively), and maintaining a balance of what’s new with what’s classic are also included.  All of these and more are necessary to build a brand and the business of you.

The great thing about hustling is that you are the engine to the train of success. The not so great thing is that you are the engine to the train of success. Did you just read the same thing twice? Not quite. Pay attention to the fact that it is a blessing and sometimes a curse.  Hustlers don’t primarily depend on others to get things done. They make them happen.  But if they come up short, it falls on them. That’s the path of a hustler, or as I’d like to call it…a leader.

Just remember that you need to have support when you hustle, grind, and make things happen.  You cannot do EVERYTHING alone.  Make sure your team is solid, focused, and on one accord.  Stay positive, persistent, and encourage each other and greatness is inevitable.

Until next time…Andrea
