So this Written Blog Wednesday falls on Feb 1st. The first day of Black History month. There are hundreds of thousands of people who have played such an important role in shaping this world. I am proud to honor those African-Americans who made such a difference to my freedoms of today. I hope to become one of the elite who help shape the futures of many.

Please challenge yourself to learn more about African-American culture on a continuous basis. Don’t accept only what the media projects. Dig deeper and learn for yourself. Also, don’t just single out that race, but explore others as well. Enlighten yourself on the worlds around yours. There is so much to learn. You can start with a book, museum, art, or even just asking someone. An open mind is all you need. Have fun exploring!
